A Grand Gesture from İhlas Holding to Kyrgyzstan

The strategic subsidiary of İhlas Holding, Central Asia Investment Holding, which has undertaken the largest energy investment in the history of Kyrgyzstan, has also begun launching social responsibility projects in the country. Within this scope, 30 automobiles were donated by Central Asia Investment Holding to Kyrgyz state institutions in a ceremony held in Bishkek. The car keys were handed over to the respective institutions by Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev.

Stating that Kyrgyzstan has been advancing on a path of rapid and sustainable development for the past five years and has become an attractive country for energy investors, Kasymaliev emphasized that the nearly 10 billion USD investment agreement with Central Asia Investment Holding is a clear indicator of this. Prime Minister Kasymaliev expressed his gratitude to Ahmet Mücahid Ören, Chairman of the Board of İhlas Holding and Central Asia Investment Holding, for the vehicle support.

At the ceremony, a total of 30 automobiles were delivered: 11 to the Ministry of Energy, 1 to the Kyrgyz State Research-Design and Research Institute, 1 to the Kyrgyz Energy Research Institute, 6 each to the Ministries of Internal Affairs, Water Resources, Agriculture and Industry, 1 to Chakan HPP Open Joint Stock Company, and 1 to the Department for Regulation of the Fuel and Energy Complex.

Central Asia Investment Holding will undertake social responsibility projects in the region for the next five years.

Each month, 1,000 orphaned and vulnerable children will receive $150 USD in education and care support.

1% of the electricity produced from the hydroelectric power plants (approximately $3 million annually) will be allocated to local people free of charge.

Technical infrastructure and training support amounting to $3.2 million annually will be provided to the Kyrgyz Ministry of Energy and public institutions.

Ahmet Mücahid Ören, Chairman of the Board of İhlas Holding and Central Asia Investment Holding, stated that they also plan to establish an energy academy in Kyrgyzstan and added, “The social aid package we signed along with the energy agreements will seem modest compared to what we will do in the future. We also want to establish an academy to train human resources in the energy sector,” he announced.
